The media’s discourse surrounding the plea deal of Hunter Biden has been rife with political bias. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has accused the Department of Justice of providing a “sweetheart deal” to Hunter Biden, and many leading Republican presidential candidates claimed it showed a two-tiered system of justice in the country. However, Clark, Hunter Biden’s attorney, has explained that the resolution was the product of a five-year investigation pursued by professionals and announced it was the ultimate resolution that had been reached.
In response to McCarthy’s comment, Clark stated, “I’ve heard Speaker McCarthy say a lot of stuff I don’t agree with. There was no basis for what he said. He’s not right.” Multiple legal experts have confirmed the plea deal was a “joke” and “controlled demolition”, and have spoken out against the evident political bias in the Department of Justice. U.S. Attorney David Weiss, who was appointed by then-President Donald Trump in 2017, insisted the investigation is still ongoing.
Hunter Biden was facing a felony charge of lying on a form filled out when purchasing a firearm, however, the plea agreement announced Tuesday saw it addressed via a pre-trial diversion program as well as two misdemeanor tax charges. Clark has explained that the resolution was the product of five years of work by career prosecutors and reiterated no one had ever said they were not confident, good, or diligent.
It appears the DOJ handled the case in a professional manner, considering it has lasted five years without any political interference. However, it is clear that political bias is unfortunately still prevalent when it comes to the justice system.
Those in high positions of power often use their words to paint individuals in a certain light, which can be damaging to those it is directed towards. It is important to be mindful when making accusations and that such accusations are based on fact, instead of being driven by political bias.

Is there any way Hunter can be re-tried after the 2024 election? I hope so. A lot of heads will roll after that election.
That’s alright. Now on with the treasonous acts facilitated by his father, bribery, abuse of power, selling favorable motions to our enemies and other governments. So much for Hillary and her pay to play, Biden has it down better.
