The mayor of Casper, Wyoming, Bruce Knell, has spoken out in anger and disbelief in the wake of the city’s growing homeless population. Mayor Knell reports that an estimated 200 homeless individuals have taken over the city’s parks, destroying an abandoned hotel and leaving approximately 500 pounds of human waste and feces strewn on the streets.
“It’s like nothing I’ve ever seen. It’s third-world country stuff happening in Casper, Wyoming,” Knell said in disgust.
The destruction at the Econo Lodge is estimated at millions of dollars and is said to be much worse than the damage caused by the flooding the hotel experienced in the first place. “They destroyed everything. It’s horrible,” Knell said.
The problem does not stop there with the homeless takeover, as city staff have also had to contend with filth and feces in other areas of the city. All of this from an estimated 200 homeless individuals camping out in the city’s parks and paths.
The reason for the influx of homeless? Knell believes it is the lack of assistance and help for those suffering from substance abuse or mental illness. “There’s a certain part of the homeless population, whether substance abuse or mental illness, that is getting them to where they don’t want to conform to society’s rules,” Knell said.
The mayor is now urging the Casper City Council to take action. He is calling for more regulations and limits on urban camping and squatting, such as written consent from a property owner and a set time limit for occupying that space. This way, the homeless can be deterred from the city until more substance abuse and mental health services can be provided.

Squatters ravage Wyoming downtown
Homeless squatters in Casper, Wyoming, "destroyed" a local motel, which would require millions of dollars to repair, and left hundreds of pounds of human feces in the downtown area, according to the city’s mayor.https://t.co/F1D1n71OkZ

Unfortunately, this is a major problem for many towns and cities across the United States, created largely due to the misguided policies and liberal administrations of some states, which have failed to provide proper housing and services for the impoverished. Theses polices have left hundreds of vulnerable members of society homeless and vulnerable to the harsh conditions of the streets.
Boost for tourism??
Give teh homeless a 1 way ticket back to California or any other liberal city on the West or East Coast. Tell them if they come back they will be part of a crew that builds a prison like compound to house themselves in until they an again be an asset to society.
This is what the Blue states wanted for their Red states not for themselves, they are sanctuary cities that should be the ones taking in all of the illegal aliens. Every state in the country now has a massive number of illegals and they are still coming. All of these illegals should be returned to where they came from. Sadly, many of the children that were sent here for a better life will never be found. The are now a part of the sex slave traffic or being kept in the dark for the Adrenochrome production. God help us all.
