Patriots Fight To Save Lives Days After Hurricane, WH Still MIA

Hurricane Helene has left a trail of destruction and tragedy in its wake since making landfall on Thursday night. As of Monday, the combined death toll in the Southeast has reached 132, with nearly 600 people still missing. The impact of the storm has been catastrophic, with homes destroyed, cargo containers crushed, and highways buried in mud.

The extent of the damage became fully apparent on Monday, revealing a scene of utter devastation. Infrastructure failures in Western North Carolina have plunged the region into crisis, cutting off roads and disrupting essential services such as power and communications. This has left residents struggling to access basic necessities such as fresh water and the ability to contact loved ones to confirm their safety.

The states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee have all been affected by the storm, according to the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA). As many as 600 individuals are still unaccounted for and feared dead, according to a report by White House homeland security adviser Liz Sherwood-Randall during Monday’s briefing.

In response to the disaster, Joe Biden is scheduled to visit North Carolina on Wednesday to assess the damage and coordinate federal response efforts, according to the Associated Press. That 6 days AFTER The storm hit. I guess he was waiting on the dead to be moved so they wouldn’t gunk up his photo op?

Relief efforts are currently underway, with government and aid organizations working to reach isolated communities through various means, including air and truck deliveries and even by mule.

In Asheville and Western North Carolina, efforts to provide relief are ongoing, as reported by the Citizen Times on Monday. However, the full extent of the damage is still unclear, and more updates are expected.

Residents who experienced the storm firsthand described the harrowing scenes they witnessed. Alyssa Hudson, from Black Mountain, a village just 12 miles from Asheville, shared her experience with the New York Post. “There were bodies in trees,” she said. “They were finding bodies under rubble. We started seeing videos of our house posted to Facebook. Our floors are caved in, our walls are gone. We had a shed in our backyard that they found two miles away.”

Kimberly and Jimmie Scott braved the devastated roads of Black Mountain to rescue their daughter from Montreat College, where 1,000 students were stranded without power. Kimberly recounted the dangerous conditions they encountered, with downed trees and power lines, collapsed structures, and displaced cars, as reported by The Post.

Local homeowner and GOP national committee member Ed Broyhill shared his experience of the storm’s impact on Chimney Rock, North Carolina, with Fox News. He described how the community’s tourism-driven businesses were washed away into Lake Lure, leaving behind a path of destruction. “The saddest thing in the world is that a lot of the folks have etched out a living catering to tourism,” said Broyhill. “They have everything from hotels and motels and restaurants and nice stores and souvenir stores and clothing stores, and all of that was washed away. Every bit of it, all of it, was washed into the lake.”

The devastation caused by Hurricane Helene is still unfolding, and the full extent of the damage is yet to be seen. As government and aid organizations continue their efforts to provide relief and support, the affected communities will need all the help they can get to rebuild and recover from this catastrophic storm.

  • Is Biden even going to know why he is there? What about Queen Kamala? She to busy hanging with her Hollywood elite?

  • People, please remember this at the ballot box. This corrupt and evil administration would rather take care of illegal aliens and protect the borders of other countries than take care of US citizens in need after the hurricane.

With our country’s high inflation and hurricane damage, joey lie-den should have used the Taft-Hartley act to send the Longshoremen into a cooling off period. But again, he cares more about illegal aliens and protecting the borders of other countries.
