In a bombshell interview with Bret Baier on Special Report, FBI Director Kash Patel dropped a truth bomb the liberal media has been desperate to suppress: the full story of FBI operatives and their so-called “partners” on the ground during the January 6 Capitol protests is finally coming to light. For years, the American people have been fed a narrative of an “insurrection” orchestrated by Trump supporters, while the Deep State and its media allies buried the truth—that federal agents and informants were embedded in the crowd, possibly instigating the chaos.
Patel didn’t hold back, telling Baier:
“People have had questions about January 6th and whether or not there were FBI sources, not agent sources, on the ground during January 6th. I told you I would get you the definitive answer to that, and we have. We are in the process, again, of working with our partners to divulge that information, and it is coming. I will tell you this, the answer to that question will surprise and shock people because of what past FBI leaders have said about it.”
This revelation confirms what conservatives have long suspected: the January 6 Committee, Nancy Pelosi, and the Biden regime weaponized the event to smear President Trump and his supporters while covering up the FBI’s own involvement. Former FBI Director Chris Wray reluctantly admitted under congressional pressure that 26 FBI confidential human sources were present around the Capitol that day—but Patel suggests the truth is far worse.
“I can say that that is definitely a piece of the truth,” Patel said. “Why it took a ton of time and questioning in Congress for the Director to get to that point is what I’m trying to eliminate… If Congress asks you a question under oath, whether or not there were sources in around January 6th at the Capitol, you as a Director of the FBI need to know that and not deflect and give a DC answer.”
The liberal media, of course, ignored this explosive admission. Instead, they spent years pushing the “insurrection” hoax, parading handpicked witnesses and editing footage to fit their narrative. Meanwhile, The Gateway Pundit and other independent outlets exposed the truth—including whistleblower evidence from FBI informant James Knowles, whose communications with his handlers proved there was no premeditated plan by Trump supporters to storm the Capitol.
Patel, who served as Chief of Staff at the Department of Defense on January 6, also blasted the deliberate failures of D.C. leadership:
“We said that we were ready and the President had previously authorized the National Guard to be there days in advance… Instead of figuring out how to prevent security lapses like that ever again, the American public spent tens of millions of dollars and countless hours on TV listening to conspiracy theories because those in positions of leadership failed to tell the American public the truth.”

The real conspiracy was the Left’s cover-up. Nancy Pelosi refused National Guard support, and now we know why—she didn’t want security to interfere with whatever operation was unfolding. The same Democrats who screamed about “democracy under attack” were the ones blocking transparency at every turn.
President Trump was right all along. The January 6 protests were infiltrated, manipulated, and exploited by the Deep State to justify the persecution of MAGA patriots. With Director Patel now leading the FBI, the truth is finally breaking free—and the American people deserve justice.
