On Sunday the Moms for Liberty chapter in Yolo, California hosted an event called “Forum on Fair and Safe Sport for Girls,” at the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library. The group had reserved the event space and the program had just begun when the first speaker referred to transgender women as biological men. Suddenly, the librarian revoked the group’s reservation, citing that misgendering people was not respectful.
Free Speech had been silenced in the name of protecting “state law”.
The event was full of numerous topics to help the audience understand the complexities and niches of transgender women in female sports. One presentation was titled, “Title IX history and current status: Do girls have the right to equal opportunity in sports?” The agenda was to cover the physiological advantage of male athletes and to propose new policies to keep girls sports safe and fair.
At the event, Sophia Lorey, who is employed by the California Family Council, was invited to share her personal story of being a college athlete. Before sharing her story, an audience member yelled out, “Are you gonna misgender people throughout the entire thing?” Lorey asked that questions be saved for the end.
Then the librarian chimed in saying, “I do not want any transgender females being called males.” Erin Friday, a California attorney asked to see the Library’s policies regarding the First Amendment rights and policies on events, however, her question went ignored as another audience member started yelling, “trans women are women”.
Lorey, was shocked at the librarian’s demands. She could not begin her own story about becoming a college athlete without editing her words to appease the group.
“We all have First Amendment rights, whether you believe what I believe, or whether I believe in what you believe. But as an American, I am allowed to have my First Amendment rights, just like you are,” Friday explained. Unfortunately, the librarian insisted that unless Lorey left, the event would be concluded.
It is evident that the woke movement is now attacking female athletes’ fundamental freedoms in order to force them to compete alongside biological men in sports. Free speech, unapologetically expressing politically incorrect points of view, is no longer granted by the left and active demonstration of opposing thought processes often lands one in hot water. The decision to remove Lorey from the event falls in line with the viewpoint that “free speech is only permitted when it aligns with their wacko agenda”, as Lorey put it.
Such double standards, where radical activism was allowed to run rampant during a children’s storytime but silenced when it came to a Female Athlete, speaks volumes about the bizarreness of the woke movement. The lack of respect for differing opinions and attempts to erase knowledge that deviates from the majority view of wokeness, has no place in a society that champions freedom of speech.
This incident will hopefully reverberate to other organizations and serve as a reminder for those that seek to manipulate or restrict the basic right of citizens to voice their personal beliefs without hindrance. It is not only unfortunate that this event was shut down in such an organized manner, but it is also a reminder that freedom and basic civil liberties need to be constantly defended.
Trans Community, Don’t tell me that I have to accept you for who you are, (or imagine yourself to be) when you couldn’t accept yourself for who YOU were!

Anyone who says what they own DNA has already said what they are and means it, is 100% wrong and mentally ill. You can’t make your self into an elephant, a whale or the opposite gender by simply saying you are so. Its a total lie to your DNA, yourself and others. You are what you are. You can act and dress the other way, but you cannot change science and common since. You are opnly making a fool of yourself.

Only Idiots and Fools believe that we in the USA are doing well today. The above 8 steps to socialism and 100% control are almost finished while we had our preverbable heads up our keisters. This did not happen over night its been going on since the late 60’s or early 70’s starting with schools. Those graduates became teachers and taught our youth the things that will sink our nation. Tie to make major changes and throw off the shackles of the new slavery by the democratic party who supported Salvery to the 1860’s and then segratoin up until the 1970’s.
