O’Keefe Media Group Does It Again! Exposes MAJOR Failures At The IRS [Video]

n a shocking revelation, IRS Tax Examining Technician David Nelsen went on record with James O’Keefe of the O’Keefe Media Group to expose the deep-rooted inefficiencies and systemic failures within the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Nelsen’s candid interview sheds light on the agency’s outdated systems, bloated workforce, and lack of funding, while also highlighting the urgent need for reform—a mission that President Donald Trump has championed since taking office.

“We can’t do anywhere close to what the American people think we can,” Nelsen admitted, pointing to the IRS’s antiquated systems and lack of integration. “We have very antiquated systems. They aren’t integrated. We’re basically handcuffed.” This startling admission underscores the dire state of the agency, which has been plagued by decades of neglect and mismanagement. Nelsen emphasized that the IRS has received virtually no funding to modernize its operations, stating, “There’s been no funding for decades to try to improve anything. When funding is provided, it’s put towards little Band-Aid issues instead of the big problem of the whole.”

One of the most glaring issues Nelsen highlighted is the IRS’s reliance on outdated software, specifically the Integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS). “We also have very antiquated software. We use a software called Integrated Data Retrieval System (IDRS),” he explained. This obsolete technology has led to inefficiencies, delays in tax processing, and a bloated workforce. Nelsen suggested that modernizing the IRS’s systems could significantly reduce its size, stating, “We could probably reduce the size of the IRS substantially with changes, programs, a centralized inventory system, replacing IDRS.”

President Trump’s efforts to streamline the federal government and reduce waste have already begun to yield results. Last month, the IRS fired 6,000 employees as part of a broader initiative to cut the agency’s workforce by up to 50%. This move aligns with Trump’s commitment to shrinking the federal bureaucracy and ensuring taxpayer dollars are used efficiently. Nelsen, who is unafraid of losing his job in the process, expressed his willingness to sacrifice for the greater good. “I’m not afraid of losing a career,” he declared. “I’ll fall on the sword if it means I can help the American people and help everyone else at the IRS who are doing their jobs.”
