Psaki Engages in Heated Exchange with Democratic Guest, Questions Their Actions

Once again, the liberal media, embodied by MSNBC host Jen Psaki, has showcased its bias in a scramble to protect President Joe Biden from criticism. This was evident when a Democratic strategist on her panel inferred that party leaders were insinuating Biden’s unfitness for office.

In a recent episode of Chris Hayes’ show, Psaki – who previously served as the White House press secretary – quickly stepped in when Columbia University professor and contributor Basil Smikle criticized Democrats for undermining Biden’s leadership with calls for his resignation. The incident highlighted an emerging doubt within his own party about Biden’s ability to lead effectively.

Smikle passionately questioned, “My issue is this: If you’re standing up, if you’re a Democrat right now and you’re standing up and you’re saying Joe Biden is not fit to run for office and therefore should not be in office in January, you’re also saying he’s not fit to be president right now. What the hell are you doing?” Psaki attempted to interrupt him mid-sentence.

In response, Psaki stated, “I actually think a lot of the Democrats who’ve been out there and a lot of the people who’ve been voicing concern are about whether he can defeat Donald Trump. They’re looking at the states, they’re looking at their districts, they’re looking at concerns about voters and whether he is up to the job. I have not heard a Democrat say, aside from maybe one in Washington State, that he should step down or he is not up to the job now. We’re having this conversation because Donald Trump in part is not Mitt Romney, right? Donald Trump is an existential threat to our democracy. So it’s a question, and a debate, and it’s important to have, and that’s how I feel. But I think a lot of people who are bringing forward questions are being very, very thoughtful about it. It does need to be resolved, and I agree with you on that, but it’s a question about how to be resolved.”

Psaki attempted to reframe Democrats’ worries, suggesting that many within the party believe Biden simply can’t beat former President Donald Trump in a second run and don’t back Republicans calling for his immediate resignation.

In a bid to divert attention from the ongoing debate about Biden’s fitness for office, she claimed that those expressing concern were primarily worried about whether he could defeat Donald Trump. However, these comments only underscore the growing unease within the Democratic Party regarding Biden’s ability to serve effectively – if at all.

Interestingly, Democrats often nostalgically refer to Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign as an example of lost high-minded statesmanship. This seems ironic considering Psaki’s own record of treating Romney similarly to how Trump is treated today. This serves as a stark reminder of the double standards and hypocrisy within the Democratic Party.

Recently, President Biden held his first press conference of the year, where he faced a barrage of questions about his NATO summit and his capacity to serve another term. Earlier that day, the 81-year-old incumbent made several blunders at the podium, further raising doubts about his fitness for office.

Clearly, it’s not only Republicans who are questioning President Biden’s competence – even members of his own party are starting to voice their concerns.
