Ring Camera Catches Would-Be Home Intruder. Gun Owner Fights Back

On Friday night, while Quincy Sloan and his wife were out, they received a horrifying notification from their Ring doorbell. They quickly realized that a 38-year-old man named Tanarri Stocker was attempting to rob their home.

When Sloan’s special needs son opened the door, their dog Ebony chased him to the next-door neighbor. Stricking fear into those nearby, the suspected robber had a gun in hand. Video from the Sloan family’s Ring door bell captured faint voices from their neighbor’s residence ordering Stocker to leave. Stocker responded by firing two gunshots.

What happened next was the reaction of a true hero. The neighbor quickly ushered his family to safety and then returned fire at the intruder. Thanks to the swift reaction of the Sloan neighbor, no further danger was posed to this innocent family.

Quincy Sloan is concerned, and rightfully so. News of this home invasion sends a chilling message to all Bakersfield residents – security measures must be taken to protect innocent lives from the criminals in their area. How this tragedy started and who may be involved is still unclear.

As it stands now, Stocker remains in critical condition at a local hospital after receiving medical assistance. Until Democrats-run cities ensure law and order reigns and criminals are held accountable for their actions, incidents like this will unfortunately remain a reality for individuals in communities across America.

Townhall tweeted the video footage, writing: Ring camera catches home intruder moments before break-in, and a law-abiding gun owner fought back. “He protected his family. That was the only thing that was on his mind, and we know that this person had evil intent. His intent wasn’t just to come in and take something. He was gonna forcefully take it. He responded in a way that saved his family, and potentially saved my family, because my son, who has special needs, was home by himself.”

I think it’s safe to say that the gun owner protected his family and his neighbors. Clearly, the intruder came for trouble and he found it. It might not be the kinds he was looking for but that’s the risk you take breaking into someone’s home.

  • Another one bites the dust, good and too bad he made it. Best for others if he had passed. GREAT reaction and Thank You Jesus for sparing the young boy and the other family.

  • Awwww, no wait a darn minute here. That Black guy’s job was to rob houses. Are you trying to force him to go to the unemployment office or get another job. Perhaps if we had a better economy where he would have a job to go to for 8 hours a day and earn a decent wage he would not feel the need to releave people of their home belongings. Lets give a hand to those polticians who have killed our economy, have caused massive inflation, have stopped our oil indepence which has almost trippled our gas prices, have increased our taxes for their pet projects, give “illegal” aliens more financial and health benefits than our veterans get, and who allow criminal gangs and elements to thrive in our communites as they withdraw the only thing that we thought protected us, the police. Call a cop today and they might squeeze you in next week to write a report. Remember theft is a way of stimulating our economy as you have to go out and buy what ever was taken from you again.
