Republican Sen. John Kennedy of Louisiana bravely confronts retired Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner over his anti-Trump remarks, exposing his elitist attitude towards Trump supporters.
During a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Kennedy called out Manner for his appearance on CNN’s “Laura Coates Live” in which he labeled Trump’s supporters as “fascists” and praised Gen. Mark Milley for calling Trump a “total fascist.”
Kennedy read out Manner’s exact words, asking him if he had accurately represented his views. Manner reluctantly admitted to it, showing no remorse for his derogatory remarks towards the millions of Americans who voted for Trump.
When Kennedy pressed him further, asking if he considered himself “more virtuous” than Trump’s supporters, Manner couldn’t deny it. It was a chilling testimony to the rampant elitism and condescension prevalent in the liberal media and political circles.
Manner, who had also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris during the election, was testifying against using the National Guard to aid in deportations of illegal immigrants. But his biased and divisive views towards Trump and his supporters only serve to further polarize the country.
Kennedy continued to expose Manner’s arrogance, asking if he thought he was smarter than the American people. Manner denied it, but it was clear from his earlier statements that he holds a disdainful view of Trump’s followers.
Kennedy then called out Harris and her running mate, Democratic Gov. Tim Walz, for their escalating attacks on Trump during the campaign, with Harris even calling him a “petty tyrant” and a “fascist.”
The liberal media’s relentless demonization of Trump and his supporters is a dangerous tactic that only serves to further divide the country. It’s time to stop the hate and start working towards unity and progress.
