The View panel reserves its flattery and adoration of President Joe Biden’s soft-ball interview with NBC comedian Seth Meyers. Skirting serious news outlets for the Super Bowl, President Biden settled for the tongue-lashing adoration of Meyers. The Cackling Coven of ABC’s The View reacted favorably to the interview, offering effusive praise for Biden’s charisma and ability to hold a casual conversation with friendly media.
Some doubts have been raised about the authenticity of the whole exercise. It is highly probable that Biden was handed the questions in advance and even had aviator sunglasses ready to stoke his image of being relaxed, cool and charismatic. However, this did not dampen the spirits of the panel on The View, as co-host Joy Behar exclaimed, “Look at the way the audience reacted to it!” in admiration of how Meyers’ liberal audience applauded the liberal president.
Behar took it a step further and declared that Biden “had the rizz.” Her co-host Sara Haines chimed in, claiming that Biden reminds her of former President Obama, who was also adored for his casual interviews with late-night hosts. Behar’s contagious enthusiasm even had the rest of the table parroting her praise, with co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin joining in the chorus of “The rizz!”
Meanwhile, faux-conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin proved once again that she is out of touch with the Republican position on the show. As she saluted the White House communications team for finding a way to dispel the perception that Biden is mentally unfit for office, she suggested using the line “It’s about how old your ideas are.” linking it to issues such as abortion and LGBTQ rights. “That’s what they need to say,” she emphasized. “You can be as old as you want to be.”
Her co-hosts agreed, with Haines calling it “brilliant” and Hostin hailing it as a “perfect line” that resonates with people. “I think he needs to get out there more and talk to people. They have to see him to know that he’s up to the job,” Griffin added, urging Biden to make a guest appearance on The View.
Moderator Whoopi Goldberg noted that Biden is known for being laid back, while Hostin praised him for finally putting up a “good offense” against former President Trump’s “bombastic” ways. In their eyes, Biden was in his element and at his best during the interview with Meyers.
Despite the possibility that the whole thing was a staged publicity stunt, the women on The View were convinced that Biden showed his true “rizz” and reminded them of their beloved Obama. They eagerly called for more interviews and appearances from the President, as they believe he needs to be seen regularly to prove that he is fit for the job.
