President Donald Trump delivered a fiery rebuke of the Juneteenth federal holiday, calling it yet another example of wasteful government overreach that harms the economy and burdens American workers. “Too many non-working holidays in America. It is costing our Country $BILLIONS OF DOLLARS to keep all of these businesses closed. The workers don’t want it either!” Trump declared in a Truth Social post that sent the liberal media into a frenzy.
The holiday, signed into law by Joe Biden in 2021, was touted by the left as a historic step toward racial unity. But as usual, the liberal elites failed to consider the real-world consequences of shutting down businesses and forcing hardworking Americans to lose productivity—all for a holiday that, until recently, few even recognized. “Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year,” Trump warned. “It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
The Biden administration, ever eager to rewrite history, boasted, “In 2021, President Biden signed bipartisan legislation establishing Juneteenth as the nation’s newest Federal holiday, so that all Americans can feel the power of this day, learn from our history, celebrate our progress…” But let’s be honest—this was nothing more than a hollow virtue signal from a president who, just a year before, couldn’t even explain what Juneteenth was. During a 2020 interview, Biden embarrassingly confused Juneteenth with the Tulsa Race Massacre, proving yet again that his so-called “historic” actions are nothing but political theater.
Joe Biden doesn't know what Juneteenth is:
"He’s going down to Texas on Juneteenth, right? The first major massacre … of the Black Wall Street, right?"
1. President Trump is going to Texas today, not June 19
2. Juneteenth is about emancipation

Meanwhile, the liberal media, always quick to attack Trump, ignored the economic reality of yet another forced holiday. Small businesses lose revenue, hourly workers miss paychecks, and the economy suffers—all so Biden and the Democrats can pat themselves on the back. Even Barack Obama, the left’s so-called “racial healer,” never once gave a major speech on Juneteenth during his eight years in office.
President Trump, on the other hand, understands what real leadership looks like—putting American workers and the economy first, not empty symbolism. While the left pushes divisive narratives, Trump fights for policies that strengthen the nation, not weaken it with unnecessary disruptions.
