Trump’s Lawyer Faces Off With CNN’s Dana Bash [Video]

In recent news, former President Donald Trump has been indicted in a New York County Supreme Court case. The judge for the case is none other than Juan Merchan, the same guy who oversaw the criminal tax evasion and fraud case against the Trump Organization. This case saw Trump’s former CFO sentenced to five months in a New York City jail complex.

It’s clear that Democrats and the woke left are using the justice system to target political opponents. This is evident in the way the judge in the Trump case was appointed. Trump took to Twitter to air his grievances and called Merchan a “railroader” and claimed that he was treating his companies “viciously.”

CNN’s Dana Bash recently pressed Trump’s lawyer Joseph Tacopina over these claims. Tacopina argued that Trump had been the victim of “political persecution” and had “a right to be angry”. He also said that he had no reason to speculate that Merchan was biased.

It’s a shame that our justice system has become so politicized. People should be judged on the merits of their case, not on their political views. Unfortunately, this doesn’t appear to be the case with Trump’s arraignment. It’s almost as if the Democrats and the woke left are trying to make an example out of him, to prove that no one is above the law.

It’s obvious that the liberal media is out to get Trump. The biased reporting and blatant double standards are a clear sign that the justice system is no longer impartial. The left is using the courts to carry out their political agenda and that is simply unacceptable.

The situation is getting worse by the day. The DOJ is increasingly being used as a political weapon and that only serves to undermine the public’s faith in the justice system.

Watch

We should all be concerned about the growing trend of politicization of the law. It’s not just that this is a miscarriage of historical proportions but it’s also much of the same that we have seen from the DOJ over the last few years. A toxic and divisive trend.
