Watch: Hillary Gets OWNED On CNN For Mocking Voters: ‘Get Over Yourselves’

Stephen A. Smith, the outspoken ESPN commentator, never holds back when he speaks his mind on political matters. This time, he took aim at presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton for her recent remarks toward voters.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” Clinton was promoting the new Broadway musical “Suffs,” which she helped produce. Fallon couldn’t resist asking about the upcoming election, and Clinton’s response was less than endearing.

“Get over yourself,” she quipped, referring to voters who may be upset with their options of Donald Trump and Joe Biden for president. She then went on to promote Biden, taking a jab at Trump by saying that one candidate had a heart and compassion, while the other was “old” and had been charged with 91 felonies.

The response from the studio audience was positive, but similar sentiments have not been seen across the country. When Smith sat down with CNN’s Abby Phillip and was asked about Clinton’s comments, he didn’t hold back.

“I don’t think that was a wise statement on her part,” he stated. “How did that work out for her in 2016?”

Smith then proceeded to outline the numerous faults of Clinton’s failed campaign in 2016, including her lack of appearances in key states and the controversy surrounding former FBI Director James B. Comey’s investigation into her handling of classified information.

“Clinton’s remarks will do nothing but agitate potential voters at a crucial time in this election,” Smith noted.

Phillip then asked for Smith’s thoughts on Clinton’s assertion that Biden and Trump are vastly different candidates. This time, Smith strongly agreed, stating that he himself did not plan to vote for Trump.

“But at the end of the day, what I’m saying is that you have to take into account what the voters are thinking,” he pointed out.

He explained that many voters are not particularly concerned with the numerous charges against Trump and that Clinton’s words were not helpful in rallying support for Biden. He emphasized that at this stage in the election, the priority for Biden’s campaign should be getting people to the polls to vote for him.

Smith’s analysis is on point. Instructing people to “get over themselves” and accept their options will never inspire voters to rally behind a candidate. Hillary Clinton has a long history of being tone-deaf and lacking charisma, except to those who are blinded by their loyalty to the Democratic Party.

Smith has once again demonstrated his ability to speak his mind and stand for his beliefs, even if they do not align with the party he appears to support. He understands that in order to win elections, candidates must be able to connect with and inspire voters, and Clinton’s dismissive attitude is not helpful in achieving that. This is a lesson that many politicians, not just Clinton, would do well to learn.
