The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has fired a decisive shot across the bow of the lawless Left, releasing stringent new visitation guidelines for members of Congress and their staff at ICE detention facilities. This move comes after a brazen display of left-wing theatrics, when radical Democrats—including Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Reps. LaMonica McIver, Bob Menendez Jr., and Bonnie Watson Coleman—stormed an ICE facility in Newark, demanding the release of criminal illegal aliens. Baraka was rightfully arrested for criminal trespass, yet his Democrat allies, who engaged in the same riotous behavior, have so far escaped accountability.
In a desperate attempt to justify their lawlessness, Rep. Menendez Jr. arrogantly declared:
“No matter what this Administration tells the American people, the law is very clear: Members of Congress have a legal right to enter any DHS detention facility to conduct oversight without prior notice… So despite the Admin’s attempts to spin this, they know we had every right to be there and enter the facility.”
But DHS wasn’t about to let this spin go unchallenged. Posting damning bodycam footage of the violent altercation, the agency exposed the Democrats’ lies with a simple yet devastating rebuttal: “Let’s check the tape.”

Now, DHS has laid down the law—literally—issuing updated ICE Facility Visitation Guidelines for Congressional Members and Staff that obliterate the Left’s false narrative. The guidelines make it crystal clear:
-
No More Surprise Raids: Congressional staff must provide 24-hour notice—no more rogue aides storming facilities unannounced.
-
ID Required: No entry without verified government-issued identification.
-
No Recording Devices: Cell phones and cameras are strictly banned—ending the Democrats’ staged photo ops.
-
No Campaigning: Political grandstanding, press conferences, and Hatch Act violations will not be tolerated.
-
Security First: All visitors are subject to searches—no weapons, no contraband, no exceptions.
-
No Donations: Leftists can’t exploit detainees for virtue-signaling donations.
DHS delivered the final blow in a blistering statement on X:
“Members of Congress cannot break the law in the name of ‘oversight.’ All members and staff need to comply with facility rules, procedures, and instructions from ICE personnel on site.”

This is a direct rebuke to the Democrat Party’s escalating lawlessness, proving once again that President Donald Trump’s administration will not tolerate chaos masquerading as “oversight.” While the liberal media scrambles to paint these rules as “authoritarian,” the truth is simple: Democrats are not above the law.
Demonrats are always above the law. Until Hillary, Biden and Fauci are prosecuted, they will continue to believe this.
