As the nation endures the deadly consequences of unfettered immigration and terrorism, tragically underscored by the recent D.C. shooting, a new horrifying plot has come to light. Astonishingly, two of the three major broadcast network newscasts, CBS and ABC, couldn’t be bothered to cover it. Their silence is a deafening dereliction of duty to the American public, choosing to ignore a story that exposes the very real threats entering our homeland.
Only NBC Nightly News, to its credit, reported on the thwarted terror plot in Delaware. As aired on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, anchor Tom Llamas introduced the segment: “In Delaware a potentially violent attack on a college thwarted after police say they confronted a man and found rounds of ammunition in his car and detailed plans for an attack in his home.” Correspondent Sam Brock detailed the chilling police discovery of University of Delaware student Luqqman Khan, found in his truck “armed… with a loaded Glock handgun, more than 1000 rounds of ammunition and an armored ballistic plate.” Most critically, Brock noted the suspect’s notebook, which according to the federal complaint, “states his desire to be a, quote, ‘martyr’, naming a member of the University of Delaware Police Department has a target. ‘Battle efficiency, kill all, martyrdom, all combatants’, he wrote.”
This constant, deliberate evocation of “martyrdom” is the undeniable tell. As The New York Post further revealed, Khan’s writings were extensive, detailing maps, escape routes, and “warfare techniques,” with the Post citing Khan as believing that achieving martyrdom “was one of the greatest things you can do.” The FBI’s subsequent search of his home uncovered more weaponry, including a device that converts handguns to machine guns. Yet, NBC’s report, while commendable for being the only one, still soft-pedaled key facts, describing the cache merely as “rounds of ammunition” when, in reality, it was a formidable arsenal of multiple firearms and body armor intended for a campus mass shooting.
The suspect, Luqqman Khan, is a naturalized American citizen from Pakistan, who reportedly came to the United States as a teen. This case forces the obligatory, urgent questions that the liberal media refuses to ask: Who radicalized him? How was this plot formed on American soil? And most pressingly, how many more potential attackers are living among us, exploiting our broken immigration system and the politically correct refusal to confront radical Islamic ideology? The coordinated silence from CBS and ABC is not an oversight; it is a conscious editorial decision to suppress stories that validate President Donald Trump’s unwavering warnings about the existential threats facing our nation.
President Trump has consistently demanded strong borders, extreme vetting, and the ideological screening of immigrants to prevent exactly this kind of plot. This Delaware case is a stark vindication of his America First policies, proving that his tough stance is not fearmongering but a necessary defense of American lives. While the left-leaning media obscures the truth to protect their open-borders narrative, President Trump remains the only leader with the courage to name the threat and act decisively against it.
The American people see this glaring disconnect between the media’s agenda and the harsh realities that law enforcement, as noted by Police Chief James Leonard in the NBC report, confront every day: “This is the type of work that law enforcement across the country does every day.” They deserve a press that reports the facts without flinching and a president who ensures their safety, which is why they continue to stand with Donald Trump.
