White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt delivered an urgent press briefing alongside Patty Morin, the grieving mother of Rachel Morin, a young woman who was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal alien. The emotional press conference stood in stark contrast to the liberal media and Democrat lawmakers, who have been shamelessly glorifying deported MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia—painting him as a victim rather than the violent criminal he is.
While the left fawns over Garcia, calling him a “Maryland man” and a “father of three,” they deliberately ignore his well-documented history of gang violence and domestic abuse. Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen and his cohorts are even traveling to El Salvador to demand Garcia’s return to the U.S., framing his deportation as a “kidnapping.” This is the same man whose wife, Jennifer Vasquez, sought two protective orders against him for domestic violence—one in 2020 and another in 2021. But the liberal media won’t tell you that.
“They make him out to be an angel and a great father, who the Trump Administration should have allowed to live in the country illegally,” Leavitt stated during the briefing. “However, he is affiliated with the violent MS-13 gang, which rapes, trafficks, and murders women and children.”
Patty Morin, standing strong beside Leavitt, shared her daughter’s tragic story, dismantling the left’s dangerous narrative that violent illegal aliens deserve sympathy over American victims. “Rachel was my baby. She had her whole life ahead of her, and it was stolen by someone who never should have been in this country,” Morin said, her voice trembling with grief and righteous anger. “And now the same people who let this happen want to bring more criminals like him back. When does it end?”

The hypocrisy is staggering. The same media that refuses to cover stories like Rachel Morin’s—or Laken Riley’s, or countless others—rushes to humanize MS-13 thugs while vilifying President Trump’s efforts to secure the border. Under Trump’s leadership, deportations of violent gang members surged, and border security was prioritized. Yet Democrats and their media allies would rather see American families suffer than admit that strong immigration enforcement saves lives.
“This administration stands with the Morin family and every American who has been victimized by the failed policies of the left,” Leavitt declared. “President Trump will not allow criminals to terrorize our communities while the media turns them into martyrs.”
As the 2024 election approaches, the choice is clear: a Biden-Harris regime that coddles criminals and opens the floodgates to illegal immigration, or a Trump administration that puts America First and protects its citizens.
