During a recent episode of her podcast, Megyn Kelly took aim at MSNBC hosts Nicolle Wallace and Rachel Maddow for their derogatory remarks concerning DJ Daniel, a young cancer survivor who was honored by President Trump during a speech this week. Kelly expressed her disbelief at the comments, which were so egregious that even President Trump felt compelled to address them, suggesting that Wallace and Maddow should be removed from their positions. The pervasive influence of what some call “Trump Derangement Syndrome” seems to drive individuals to make incredibly distasteful statements, with MSNBC serving as a prime example.
As detailed in a partial transcript from Real Clear Politics, Megyn Kelly questioned Wallace’s transformation: “I don’t know what’s happened to this person. She used to be a Republican… It’s Nicole Wallace who now I think her next job will be with the Lincoln project.” Kelly went on to describe Wallace’s reaction to DJ Daniel, calling it “jaw-dropping” and noting that even Wallace’s colleagues, including Jen Psaki and Rachel Maddow, appeared visibly uncomfortable. Kelly remarked, “When you’ve gone too far, for Psaki and Maddow, you’ve gone too far period. Can you believe that?”
The incident in question saw young DJ Daniel, whose eyes widened in excitement when President Trump announced he would be made an honorary Secret Service member, embracing the Secret Service Director with genuine warmth. Yet, Wallace’s comments seemed to cast a shadow over this heartwarming moment. Kelly criticized Wallace’s negativity, stating, “You see a wonderful event for a child, and instead, you see only doom, gloom, and darkness, if it has anything to do with the orange man.”
Kelly argued that this phenomenon, often referred to as Trump Derangement Syndrome, distorts perceptions. She observed, “It’s strange how it’s like it’s broken for the rest of the country, they never really had it.” This bias appears to be a significant issue for MSNBC, which, unlike Fox News, has not seen a ratings increase despite being in the “opposition” during Trump’s presidency. Kelly noted, “When you’re in the opposition, your numbers go up… Their numbers are not going up under MSNBC.”
“It’s psychological malady – it’s literally sick…” @richlowry on the shocking comment by MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace connecting hero 13-year-old cancer survivor to January 6.

Despite the public outcry, MSNBC has yet to issue a statement regarding the controversial comments made by Wallace and Maddow. Kelly asserted that the hosts should feel ashamed for their remarks.
