NBC News is becoming increasingly worried about recent polls showing that former President Donald Trump is garnering more support among Latinos than President Joe Biden. As a result, NBC is attempting to demonize those who vote for Trump by highlighting the role of faith in their decision-making.
In a recent article titled “Latino evangelical support for Christian nationalism rises as Trump courts religious vote,” reporter Lourdes Hurtado suggests that Trump’s rhetoric and appearance at a religious convention indicate that he is appealing to Christian nationalists. According to Hurtado, Christian nationalism is an ideology that seeks to make America a Christian nation, devoid of any separation between church and state.
NBC’s handling of the issue is transparent, as they are clearly trying to persuade Latinos to change their minds about supporting Trump by framing Christian nationalists as extremists. However, Christian nationalism is a recent term coined by leftists and has no basis in reality. Hurtado uses the example of Trump’s words at a convention to argue that he is a Christian nationalist. This is simply a tactic to paint Trump as an extremist and discredit his faith-based supporters.
NBC argues that most Americans reject or are skeptical of Christian nationalism, but it has gained traction among two religious groups: white evangelicals and Hispanic Protestants. This is according to a recent survey by the nonpartisan Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI). However, the criteria used by PRRI to define Christian nationalism is questionable, as it simply equates the desire to see Christian values in society with extremism. Moreover, NBC’s use of this survey to discredit those who vote based on their faith is concerning.
Christian nationalism, which doesn't separate between church and state and whose members are being courted by former President Trump, is rejected by most Americans but has grown among Latino evangelicals. https://t.co/gEzmxxNh4c

PRRI’s definition of Christian nationalism includes believing that the US government should declare the country a Christian nation and that laws should be based on Christian values.
According to this definition, many of America’s greatest leaders, such as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, and Ronald Reagan, would be considered Christian nationalists. They all spoke of the importance of Christian values in society and the role of faith in shaping the nation.
It is wrong for NBC or anyone else to shame Latinos or any other group for voting based on their Christian values. Christians have the right to use their beliefs as a guide for their decision-making, just like any other group in society.
"We have to bring back our religion; we have to bring back Christianity in this country!" – President Trump.⁰

Attempts to delegitimize their faith-based sentiments only serve to divide society and misrepresent the true intentions of America’s leaders and citizens. Faith is an integral part of many Americans’ lives, and it should not be used as a weapon by the media or anyone else to influence their political choices. Ultimately, the values of Christianity, such as love, forgiveness, and compassion, are essential for making America great again.
We don’t watch the Nuisance Broadcating company at all anymore. They’re just part and parcel of the lying MSM clan.
Dear Latinos:
VOTE TRUMP VOTE TRUMP
NBC should be ashamed but that’s about as likely to happen as Hitler being ashamed back in the late 1930s.
Exactly.
