President Donald Trump delivered a powerful rebuttal to Elon Musk’s criticism of the One Big Beautiful Bill, standing firm on the legislation’s transformative tax cuts and economic benefits for hardworking Americans. While the liberal media and their corporate allies continue to attack the bill, Trump highlighted its monumental achievements, including the largest tax cut in U.S. history—a stark contrast to the Democrats’ push for a catastrophic 65% tax hike.
In a bold Oval Office statement, Trump dismantled the left’s false narrative, emphasizing that the bill delivers “tremendous amounts of benefit to the middle-income people of our country, low and middle-income people.” He also called out the Democrats for their obstruction, declaring, “Remember, we have zero Democrat votes because they’re bad people. There’s something wrong with them.” The President didn’t hold back, exposing the left’s agenda of open borders and economic sabotage, stating, “They’ll let people pour into our country… many of those people are bad, murderers, drug dealers, the mentally insane.”
Despite Musk’s complaints that the bill doesn’t cut enough spending, Trump explained the political reality: “We have to get a lot of votes… we have no Democrats.” The President masterfully navigated the negotiations, working closely with Senate Republicans to refine the bill while preserving its core victories—extending the historic 2017 tax cuts, eliminating taxes on tips and overtime pay, and creating $1,000 MAGA Savings Accounts for every newborn.
The liberal media, of course, refuses to report on these wins, instead amplifying baseless deficit hysteria. But as Trump pointed out, this is a “big, beautiful bill” precisely because it slashes taxes and puts money back into the pockets of everyday Americans. Meanwhile, Democrats would rather tank the economy than support Trump’s America First agenda.

Reporter: Elon Musk, in a television interview, criticized the One Big Beautiful Bill, saying he was disappointed it didn’t cut enough, essentially, that it undercut the DOGE efforts. What’s your reaction to that?
Trump: Well, my reaction’s a lot of things. Number one, we have to get a lot of votes… We had to get it through the House… We have no Democrats. You know, if it’s up to the Democrats, they’ll take the 65% increase… We will be negotiating that bill, and I’m not happy about certain aspects of it, but I’m thrilled by other aspects of it… It’s very big; it’s the big, beautiful bill. But the beautiful is because of all of the things we have, the biggest thing being, I would say, the level of tax cutting that we’re going to be doing.
The left’s desperation is showing—they know Trump’s policies work, and their only response is sabotage.
