WOW! Jim Jordan And Creep Swalwell Spar On House Floor

At a hearing on Wednesday with FBI Director Christopher Wray, Democratic California Rep. Eric Swalwell and Republican Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan clashed over FISA warrant questioning. Swalwell began by blaming Jordan for not testifying at Jan. 6 hearing, which he had been subpoenaed for.

Swalwell then aimed his questions at Wray to explain what consequences agents face for their job, such as doxxing or even death. He then redirected his attention to Jordan and launched into an absurd statement.

“Chairman, I’ve counted in this hearing, and we’re only about an hour and a half in, the use of the word ‘laptop’ about 20 times. In fact, in the chairman’s opening statement, he said that he’s upset that he believes the FBI prevented more Americans from learning about a private citizen’s laptop. That is bananas to me. You all are bringing up FISA every single question. You’re essentially saying to the American people that you’re guardians of personal security and privacy, but the 2020 election was determined because the FBI didn’t let more Americans see a private citizen’s nonconsensual nudes? Is that what we’re saying here?” Swalwell said. “That you lost the election not because of your ideas but because a private citizen’s laptop wasn’t out there? That’s bananas! You should be a party of ideas, not a party of nonconsensual nudes to help you win an election.”

Jordan quickly interjected, attempting to seek an answer to Swalwell’s outrageous statement by asking, “Will you yield for an answer?” Jordan was then cut off by Swalwell who continued to latch onto his tirade.

“It seems like that is what the objection is here today. We should be talking about the mass shootings that occurred over the last ten days instead, this hearing has turned into absolute chaos,” he continued.

With Jordan attempting to respond, Swalwell shouted, “Whose time are you speaking to, Chairman?” Jordan was then further ignored and Swalwell shouted, “Point of order, whose time are you speaking on?”

Jordan quickly responded by informing Swalwell that he was not being allowed to put forth a “point of order” on his behalf. He also shot back at Swalwell’s ludicrous claims about the election result, informing him that the hearing was about reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

Former President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice had identified more than 200,000 FISA inquiries that had been ruled illegal according to a court ruling. While Wray was uncertain of the total number of illegal FISA inquiries, Jordan put forth the facts with clarity and in a professional manner.

Swalwell had attempted to take the discussion off of the facts and to make erroneous generalizations about the Republican Party. Jordan, however, cut through the pandemonium and offered nothing but facts and a need to responsibly reauthorize FISA.

I can’t believe that Swalwell, a guy who was busted for having an intimate and inappropriate relationship with his aide—and an actual Chinese spy (allegedly).
