It’s no secret that schools are pushing harmful ideologies and exposing children to adult content in the name of being “woke.” One brave 11-year-old student from Windham Middle School in Maine, Knox Zijac, took a stand against this by reading an explicit passage from a book about gay sex featured in his school library.
Zijac’s actions were admirable, as he stood up for what he knew was right despite the potential backlash he could face. When he checked out the book “Nick and Charlie” to show his father, the librarian even asked if he wanted more books or a graphic novel version! It’s clear that these libraries are grooming our children and pushing an agenda that doesn’t align with traditional family values.
The fact of the matter is that children should never be exposed to sexually explicit adult content—period. It’s not about whether the content is gay or straight, it’s about protecting our children’s innocence and allowing them to grow and develop at a natural pace. As parents, it’s our responsibility to ensure that our children aren’t exposed to inappropriate content, whether it’s online or offline.
But it’s not just about protecting our children, it’s about educating them as well. We need to teach them why certain things may not be appropriate depending on their age or maturity level. It’s not enough to shield them from harm; we must also help them understand why something is harmful in the first place.
Unfortunately, the liberal woke agenda is infiltrating our schools and pushing harmful ideas onto our children. They believe that they know what’s best for our children, but the truth is that no one knows our children better than we do. It’s time for parents to take a stand against this harmful agenda and fight for what we know is right.
