Susan Spencer, a correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning, has been accused of having leftist bias when covering the argument between conservatives and leftists on whether children should receive puberty blockers and cross sex hormones.
Spencer began by asking Terry Schilling, the President of the American Principles Project, “The parents of some of these children would look at you and say if you want to protect kids, leave us alone.” Schilling responded by making it clear conservatives are the ones protecting children from undergoing such procedures.
Spencer further pressed Schilling by insisting, “And they would say we know better than you do.” Schilling insisted that the parents did not know better and that both forces of opinion “go to the American people and make our cases to them and we see who can pass the most laws and right now we’re starting to win.” Spencer was not content with this answer and she questioned once more, “Who are you to say that?”
The situation has become even more complicated when considering Schiling’s conclusion. He claims that “the American people” will determine which party is in the right, as it is up to those people to decide which laws are passed. This is the democratic process, of course, but it appears Spencer wanted one side of the argument to be discredited without any public proof. Otherwise, this segment would not have been broadcast.
There is no doubt Spencer had a bias in her covering of this argument, as evidenced by her continued attempts to trigger Schilling with her questions. She appeared to be asking rhetorical questions with no intention of addressing the issue in any meaningful way. Despite Spencer’s tactics, Schilling stood his ground admirably and refused to be bullied into silence.
It remains to be seen which group will successfully pass the most laws, but one thing is clear: if Spencer plans to put conservatives in the line of fire with another segment like this, the American people won’t stand for it.

Well, ’tis true that you would have to really search far and wide to find a human or humane reporter, but can you really expect to find, even a few, willing to look for what they won’t be permitted to find?
Anyone who wants to exploit children, try to change their gender, or send them in for Surgery should at first have to go under the knife themselves to see what the results are. This should not be covered by any form of Government Medicare at all.
