The liberal media is notorious for censoring any speech that they deem unacceptable, especially if it goes against their agenda. However, sometimes their frustration boils over and they openly whine about losing their grip on controlling public discourse.
This was painfully apparent during a segment on MSNBC’s The 11th Hour when host Stephanie Ruhle and Puck News co-founder Bill Cohan targeted investor Bill Ackman and entrepreneur Elon Musk for daring to speak their minds on social media.
Ruhle, who is well-connected and financially well-off, started the segment by trying to rally populist outrage against the two outspoken billionaires. She complained that “America’s super-rich have been very loud lately on social media; complaining about pretty much everything.” She even went as far as accusing them of trying to “control the public discourse and policy since the dawn of time.” This statement is not only absurd but also shows the media’s bias against wealthy individuals who dare to speak their mind.
Cohan chimed in with his own grievances, blaming Twitter’s character limit as the reason why Ackman was able to voice his opinions so easily. He stated that Ackman’s tweets were “well thought out and well-meaning,” but if he were not independently wealthy, he would have been fired long ago. This statement reeks of envy and resentment towards those who have achieved financial success. It also undermines the importance of freedom of speech, which should be protected for all individuals, rich or poor.
Ruhle and Cohan refused to acknowledge anything Ackman said, except for his criticism of Harvard and its former president Claudine Gay. This further highlights the media’s selective censorship, only allowing viewpoints that align with their beliefs to be discussed. Ruhle also suggested that Ackman wanted to be a “puppet master” behind the scenes and avoid facing the public, insinuating anti-Semitic tropes.
The two hosts were clearly angered that Ackman and Musk were able to voice their opinions without facing any consequences. “And why don’t they?!” Ruhle shouted, showing her frustration. She also complained that they had the audacity to speak about things beyond their expertise, calling their opinions “idiotic.” Cohan took it a step further and blatantly stated that they should just “be quiet,” showing his desire for their speech to be silenced.
This was just another example of the BS media nuts and their evil censorship plot.q
