In a fiery press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt disclosed the shocking ways in which the US Agency for International Development (USAID) has been spending taxpayer money. Her revelations have sparked outrage, with many taxpayers questioning where their hard-earned dollars are going.
Standing before reporters outside the White House, Leavitt delivered a stern response to critics who have criticized X owner and DOGE Chairman Elon Musk, along with former President Trump, for their efforts to overhaul USAID, which is often perceived as having ties to the CIA. She emphasized, “Here’s the reason why Elon Musk and others have been taking a look.” Her stance was clear, as she critically examined the questionable practices of this foreign aid agency, believed by many to be a conduit for controversial activities.
Leavitt held a sheet of paper aloft, from which she read four startling examples of perceived government wastefulness. Her presentation highlighted priorities that she described as “insane” and wasteful. “If you look at the waste and abuse that has run through USAID over the past several years, these are some of the insane priorities this organization has been wasting money on,” she stated.
The specific examples she cited were indeed eye-opening:
– $1.5 million allocated toward advancing DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) initiatives in Serbia’s workplaces.
– $70,000 spent on staging a DEI-themed musical in Ireland.
– $47,000 dedicated to producing a transgender opera in Colombia.
– $32,000 used for creating a transgender comic book in Peru.
These allocations raise questions about the agency’s funding decisions. Leavitt minced no words in her critique: “I don’t know about you, but as an American taxpayer, I don’t want my dollars going toward this cr*p, and the American people don’t either.” This sentiment echoed the concerns of many Americans who feel disconnected from these international cultural initiatives, suggesting that Musk’s task, as assigned by Trump, involves addressing these grievances.

Further controversy followed as news emerged that two high-ranking officials were placed on leave for allegedly hindering Musk’s team’s access to classified information. Additionally, the sudden removal of the X social media account with a million followers and the simultaneous disappearance of its website added to the intrigue.
In another twist, reports surfaced that USAID employees were caught off guard by emails instructing them to stay home, as their headquarters were abruptly shut down, effectively locking out at least 600 staff members.
