Watch As Joe Rogan Destroys Ant-Constitution NYT Writer

Joe Rogan, host of the popular podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience” and biologist Bret Weinstein were both highly critical of a recent New York Times article that suggested the U.S Constitution was a threat to American democracy.

On Wednesday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan and Weinstein were discussing the article by NYT book critic Jennifer Szalai titled “The Constitution is Sacred. Is it Also Dangerous?” The subheading of the article read “One of the biggest threats to America’s politics might be the country’s founding document.” Both Rogan and Weinstein found the premise of the article to be absurd and alarming.

Rogan began by expressing his shock and disbelief at the article, stating “This is so crazy. It’s really hard to believe that someone would print this, and that The New York Times would say, ‘Yeah, we like it, put it out there.'” He went on to read the headline and subheading, asking, “What the fuck are you talking about? One of the biggest threats to America’s politics might be one of the greatest documents that any country was ever founded on — if not the greatest ever. That could be a threat to America’s politics? What politics are we talking about?”

Weinstein then chimed in, calling the article “incredible” but also “completely predictable.” He pointed out that there seemed to be an underlying desire to get rid of the Constitution being expressed by the author, and described it as “an authoritarian force that just grinds its teeth at night over the Constitution.” He also noted the irony of the article being published just a week after Democrats were unable to pass certain legislation due to the Constitution.

The article in question was a review of a book by University of California law school dean Erwin Chemerinsky titled “No Democracy Lasts Forever.” In his book, Chemerinsky argues that the Constitution has become a threat to American democracy and is “beyond redemption.” Szalai, the NYT critic, echoes this sentiment in her review, claiming that “Constitution worship” is potentially harming the American political system.

Weinstein called this obsession with getting rid of the Constitution “complete insanity” for any normal thinking person, but pointed out that it may align with the ethos of many readers of The New York Times. Chemerinsky himself appeared on “Morning Joe” and called for a new constitution, stating that failure to modify the current one would cause the U.S. to “drift towards authoritarianism.”

In a time where the country is already deeply divided, the liberal media’s constant attack on the Constitution is concerning. The document has stood the test of time and remains a pillar of American democracy. As Americans, we should be thankful for the Constitution and its protections of our freedoms and rights. It is concerning to see a major publication like The New York Times entertaining the idea of getting rid of it. It is important for us to defend and uphold the Constitution, especially in the face of attacks from the media and those who want to undermine its importance.

  • Jennifer Szalai, Erwin Chemerinsky, and the NYT, are proof that stupidity is breeding faster than rats (the 4-legged kind)… and no doubt these 2-legged rats are so infected with disease it has affected whatever mind they may have had.

  • Absolutely, the Constitution is a threat to American democracy! Because America is NOT a democracy, and is kept from being a democracy by the Constitution. The Constitution clearly states that America is a republic! A democracy is “mob” rule; if we were a democracy, then the Constitution could be changed simply by voting on it and getting 51% of the vote. All of the people who insist on calling America a democracy just prove how stupid they are, and that they have NEVER read the Constitution!
