Watch: Dems and Media Use “Deepfake” Excuse to Cover for Biden’s G-7 Gaffe

The Democrats and their media allies seem to have a new tactic up their sleeves. Whenever they come across a video that could potentially damage Joe Biden’s image, they quickly dismiss it as either a “deepfake” or a “cheap fake.” This was evident in a recent segment on CNBC’s show The Exchange, where anchor Kelly Evans and contributor Heidi Heitkamp discussed the rise of AI-generated deepfakes and questioned whether Congress should regulate the industry.

As the segment began, Evans previewed a video of Biden seemingly wandering off at the G-7 meeting in Italy, which had caused quite a stir on social media. However, she quickly reassured viewers that there was another video of the same moment from a different angle that showed the event in a different light. This sparked the question of whether we should be more concerned about deepfakes or simply edited videos that can still cause confusion and controversy.

Heitkamp, who was a former Democrat Senator, chimed in on the issue, stating that the technology has been around for some time, and even without AI, videos can be altered using slow motion or other techniques. She then goes on to explain that the RNC had picked up the video and distorted the dimensions before it spread like wildfire, reaching millions of people. However, she mentions that there is a reputational risk involved when using these manipulated videos, and calls on both political parties to put a stop to it.

The conversation then shifted to AI-generated deepfakes and the potential risks they pose, especially with foreign actors who may try to influence the outcome of the election. Heitkamp stresses the need for common sense and critical thinking when faced with potentially fake videos, and urges viewers to find out the truth behind them instead of blindly believing what they see.

The conversation ended with both Evans and Heitkamp reinforcing their belief that the “real video” of Biden at the G-7 summit was perfectly innocent, despite the fact that he can be seen walking off in both videos. They argue that the different camera angles may have caused confusion and that the whole scene was blown out of proportion. However, this extreme gaslighting only reveals the desperation to salvage Biden’s reputation, as normal people would scoff at the ridiculous notion that a video recorded at different angles could somehow be considered fake or altered.

It is clear that the Democrats and their media allies are willing to go to extreme lengths to protect Biden from any potential embarrassment. By quickly dismissing any video footage as a “deepfake” or “cheap fake,” they hope to discredit any negative claims against Biden and maintain the narrative of his competence.

However, this level of gaslighting only serves to further undermine their credibility and raises even more questions about Biden’s true abilities. It is up to the viewers to use their common sense and critical thinking skills to decipher the truth behind these videos and not simply believe everything they see.
