During a panel at the National Association of Black Journalists conference, former President Donald Trump sat down for an interview and quickly found himself under fire from one of the moderators, ABC News reporter Rachel Scott. However, Fox News host Harris Faulkner is speaking out against the unfair treatment of Trump during the event, warning that the mainstream media is using race to further divide our country.
Faulkner, who was also a panelist at the event, noted that there were efforts to disinvite Trump from the conference, and that Scott’s first question derailed the entire discussion. She criticized Scott for not acknowledging the recent assassination attempt on Trump, which had occurred less than three weeks prior to the event. Faulkner stated, “It did not take much to show humanity, and in that moment, I was so disappointed that that did not happen.”
Faulkner went on to say that the media had an agenda in that moment, and that a fair and respectful journalistic approach would have helped to calm the emotional start to the interview. She also pointed out that while there were some critical journalists in the audience, many were laughing and joking with Trump during the interview. She believes that if the media continues to unfairly treat Trump, it will only serve to further divide our country.
In particular, Faulkner called out the media for focusing on Trump’s contentious exchange with Scott and his comments about Vice President Kamala Harris. She believes that this narrow focus on race only serves to deepen the divisions in our nation and is using it as a tool to further their own agenda. She stated, “There was a way to take some of the energy out of that moment with that reporter.”
Faulkner acknowledged that she may face backlash for speaking out against the biased treatment of Trump, but she believes that the truth is what matters most to viewers. She stated, “My home is Fox News; our viewers deserve the truth, and that moment was not fair.” She warned that allowing these kinds of unfair journalistic practices will only serve to worsen the already deep divides in our country.
It is clear that Faulkner’s support for Trump comes not just from her political affiliation, but from her dedication to fair and balanced journalism. She believes that the media should be held accountable for their actions and that Trump should not have been subjected to such unfair treatment during what could have been a productive and insightful interview.

Trump was disrespected by Rachel Scott. He should have simply departed instead of responded to this woman. How dare she behave in such a deprecating manor. Her behavior is reminiscent of someone bred in a sewer. She deserves to be fired.
Very true but Fox, under the brothers, has turned to just another commie propaganda machine. Not only Scott needs fired but at least 95% of the crew.
