John Kennedy Explains Voters Sent Clear Message to Washington’s “Experts” on Election Day – They Want Trump’s Agenda
Republican Senator John Kennedy of Louisiana praised President Trump’s election night victory and explained how voters sent a powerful message to the “experts” in Washington, D.C.
In a recent interview on “America’s Newsroom,” Kennedy emphasized the significance of Trump’s win, pointing out that he made significant gains with Hispanic, young, and black voters. Kennedy says the message from these voters was “really simple.”
“Republicans aren’t perfect, but the other side is crazy,” Kennedy said. “And President Trump is going to do things differently, and we will pick a leader who will help him do that.”
Kennedy also took a jab at Vice President Kamala Harris, referencing her past advocacy for sex changes for transgender prisoners and Trump’s stance on banning biological men from competing in women’s sports.
But Kennedy’s main focus was on the upcoming Senate majority leader vote, and he urged his fellow Republicans not to believe a circulating list supposedly showing how each senator would vote.
“If you think this list is real or accurate, then you probably think that Elvis is alive and running a small bait stand on Lake Erie,” Kennedy joked. “We haven’t even had a meeting yet to hear the formal proposals from the three nominees about how, if at all, they will run things differently than Sen. McConnell.”
Kennedy concluded by ensuring that the Republican party will pick a leader who will advance President Trump’s agenda, and who will work to confirm his nominees and remove what he refers to as “meatheads” from important positions.
