Rep. Byron Donalds and CNN’s White House correspondent Phil Mattingly engaged in a heated discussion on Tuesday about the indictment of former President Donald Trump. Donalds expressed his doubts about the indictment and argued that the president has the power to dictate what is sent to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) within five years under the Presidential Records Act.
He noted that Trump’s attorneys had already contacted NARA. Trump’s team was also required to get approval from the White House counsel before the investigation of Mar-a-Lago could begin.
Mattingly argued that Trump should have returned the needed documents to NARA once the agency had repeatedly requested them. However, Donalds expressed his skepticism, claiming that the accusation of wrongdoings came from Special Counsel Jack Smith. Donalds then accused Jack Smith of a “political prosecution” of Trump.
He also said that the Department of Justice had chosen to ignore certain public officials’ mishandling of classified material in the past. He referred to Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden as he briefly mentioned that Hillary’s emails were subpoenaed by the Oversight Committee and were destroyed and Joe was in possession of classified information as a US senator.
Watch
Mattingly was then quick to point out that a special counsel investigation is currently taking place on the current president and his handling of documents, indicating that past and current administrations are treated differently in regard to document handling. He also observed that the current president, unlike Trump, had voluntarily returned the required documents.
He conveniently failed to mention that Biden was not authorized to take documents and ignored the fact that Biden held those documents for years.
I’d like to see who documentation showing who gave Hillary Clinton the green light to carry top secret information over to her private server in the Clinton home—Again, another person who did not have the same level of security clearance as a president.
Just ANOTHER instance designed to piss objective people off, and ‘pet’ the sheeple who have been shorn since they were very young (just like indoctrinating our children by perverts) .
Go Byron Go awesome
How many boxes were empty props??
So President Trump was within his rights to keep most of this crap, and I am certain that crap is mostly what it is. The focus of the indictment is on the classified docs that were mixed in with all of the boxes and boxes of meaningless documents. Assuming that the FBI did not sift through all this stuff at the scene and pull out the classified docs IN FRONT OF WITNESSES, how do they plan to prove the docs could not have been planted. I suppose we will just have to trust in the integrity of the FBI and take their word for it (LOL)
I for one will remain skeptical.
