WATCH: Trump Turns Tables on Reporter with Savage Reality Check

President Trump once again showcased his unparalleled knack for handling the mainstream media in a press conference held at the White House on Tuesday. During the event, Trump announced the launch of an ambitious project—a new American AI company named ‘Stargate’—in collaboration with OpenAI, Oracle, and SoftBank. This initiative is poised to invest $500 billion into the American economy and promises the creation of 100,000 jobs. However, predictably, the media seemed disinterested in covering this monumental development and instead fixated on discrediting Trump’s recent pardons of the January 6th political prisoners.

A particular reporter attempted a classic “gotcha” question, aimed at cornering Trump regarding one of the pardoned individuals, D.J. Rodriguez. The reporter began the question with a leading statement: “You would agree it’s never acceptable to assault a police officer, so among those you pardoned, D.J. Rodriguez, he drove a stun gun into the back of a police officer…He later confessed to the FBI on video and pleaded guilty to his crimes. Why does he deserve a pardon?”

Trump, not one to be easily trapped, responded swiftly by redirecting the conversation toward the rampant violent crime in America’s major cities. He stated, “I can say this: murders today are not even charged all over. Look at what’s going on in Philadelphia, look at what’s going on in LA, where people murder people, and they don’t get charged.”

Trump further elaborated on the harsh conditions faced by the January 6th detainees in the DC Gulag, noting that many have been subjected to inhumane treatment and that they have already served significant time behind bars. He reminded the media of comparable violent incidents by leftists in Portland and Seattle, where “they whacked police officers and shot police officers, and nothing happened to anybody.” Despite an interruption attempt by the reporter, Trump pressed on: “Wait a minute. Take a look at Minneapolis (during the George Floyd riots). If I didn’t bring in the National Guard, that city wouldn’t even exist today…People were killed, and nobody went to jail.”

Trump adeptly pivoted the focus back to the pardons, questioning President Biden’s leniency towards actual violent criminals. “Joe Biden yesterday gave a pardon to a lot of criminals,” he stated, underscoring a perceived double standard. Ignoring another interruption attempt, Trump further challenged, “Why did he give a pardon to the J6 Unselect Committee when they burned and destroyed all those documents which showed what they did was wrong, not me.”

With a definitive hand gesture, Trump put the persistent reporter in his place, rhetorically asking, “Why did they [Biden’s handlers] go to all his relatives who made millions of dollars? That’s the question you should be asking.”
