The Biden-Harris Administration has proven time and time again that it is not prioritizing security, both domestically and internationally. Vice President Harris recently made a late-night appearance on Stephen Colbert’s show and used the opportunity to criticize Republican Governor, Ron DeSantis, for his views on the Ukraine conflict.
Harris’ lack of diplomatic tact is concerning, especially when it comes to foreign affairs. She said that DeSantis “doesn’t understand the issues” and then went on to discuss her pro-choice stance on abortion, completely disregarding the fact that the majority of Americans still oppose the taking of life in the womb.
It’s clear that the Biden-Harris Administration is more focused on pandering to the Democratic base and pushing their liberal agenda, rather than focusing on security issues. The GOP has been much more successful in this regard, with Governor Ron DeSantis being a prime example. DeSantis has been vocal about his opposition to the US sending billions in aid to Ukraine and has called the conflict there a “territorial dispute”.
DeSantis understands the importance of maintaining a strong stance on foreign affairs and is doing his part to ensure that US interests are prioritized and protected. This is in stark contrast to the Biden-Harris Administration’s lack of security, which could put the nation in a difficult and dangerous situation.
The Biden-Harris Administration must take a more measured and diplomatic approach to foreign affairs, understanding that security is of the utmost importance. They must also be willing to engage in dialogue with foreign leaders and not just criticize them.
The GOP has a record of success when it comes to foreign affairs and it is time for the Biden-Harris Administration to take a page out of the GOP’s book and prioritize security over pandering to the Democratic base. Otherwise, the nation could be left vulnerable to foreign threats and chaos.
