Biden’s economic policies have failed to live up to expectations as his approval rating continues to sink, according to NBC’s Chuck Todd.
“President Biden is hoping to claim credit for what is an improving economy and he’s ramping up a messaging tour focused on the economic agenda that he is embracing and calling ‘Bidenomics,’” Todd said on a recent episode of Meet the Press.
However, despite the official statistics displaying the economy’s continued rebound, only 34% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the economy while only 20% of voters believe the nation is on the right track, according to an Associated Press poll.
“Bidenomics is strangling the labor market,” noted E.J. Antoni, a research fellow at the Heritage Foundation’s Grover M. Hermann Center for the Federal Budget. Antoni explained that June’s data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics showed “a large increase in the number of U.S. workers who took part-time positions for economic reasons.”
The data is a signal that either “more Americans are unable to find full-time employment or that businesses are unable to give workers enough hours to qualify as full-time.”
The findings serve as the latest evidence that Biden’s economic policies are not addressing the real struggles American workers are facing today.
The data also indicates a worrying trend for the near future; when combined with previous Bureau of Labor Statistics reports, “the reduction in full-time job openings is very common in the months preceding a recession,” Antoni warned.
Such statistics are indicative of a nation still struggling to break free from decades-long economic stagnation. The stagnant wages, rising poverty rates, declining labor force participation, and widening economic inequality have all gotten worse under the Biden administration.
At the same time, Biden has continued to push costly government initiatives like his climate change proposals and his infrastructure plan that are neither popular nor beneficial.
With such policies, it is no wonder American’s are not feeling the promised effects of Bidenomics. As the election approaches, Americans need to recognize that Biden’s economic policies are a continuation of a pro-elite liberalism that has failed working-class Americans for years. If Biden’s neglect of the American worker continues, then it will be clear that Biden’s policies are only beneficial to the political and financial elite.
